Aesto Wallpaper ("Aesto", "the app") is made by Okan Dogu Budak, an independent developer publishing as doguapps. This policy explains what the app handles, why, and the choices you have.
The short version
- You don't need an account to use Aesto. Signing in with Apple is optional.
- The app uses a random, anonymous ID so your Aesto Coins, purchases and AI creations stay yours.
- Aesto is free with ads. Ads are personalized only if you allow tracking when iOS asks.
- The app uses analytics and crash reports to find bugs and see which features are used.
- I never sell your data.
What the app handles
Anonymous ID. When you first open Aesto, Firebase Authentication creates a random ID for this install. It is not linked to your name, email or Apple Account.
Sign in with Apple (optional). If you choose to sign in, your anonymous ID is linked to your Apple sign-in so your coins and creations come back on a new phone. Apple shares a user identifier and an email address with me; you can choose Hide My Email, in which case I only see a private relay address. I don't receive your name or password.
AI creations. When you make a wallpaper or a sticker, your text prompt is sent to my server and to Google's Gemini image model to draw it. Prompts are checked for safety and harmful requests are refused. The finished image and its prompt are stored in your private space on my server (Google Firebase) so you can see your creations again. Names you give your creations stay on your device.
Aesto Coins and invites. Your coin balance, coin history and invite code are stored with your anonymous ID.
Community. If you share a wallpaper to the Community, the image, its prompt and your chosen creator name are public inside the app, and downloads of it are counted. If you report a wallpaper or block a creator, the report (wallpaper, reason, time) and your block list are stored with your anonymous ID so I can review reports and hide blocked creators from you.
Purchases. Aesto Pro is bought through the App Store. RevenueCat processes the purchase receipt to confirm it and to let you restore it. I never see your payment details.
Ads. Google AdMob shows ads in the free version. AdMob may use your device's advertising identifier, but only if you allow tracking in the iOS prompt; otherwise ads are not personalized. Where required (for example in the EEA and UK), a consent form asks for your choice first, and you can change it later.
Analytics and crash reports. Firebase Analytics records how features are used (for example which screens open and when a wallpaper is saved). Firebase Crashlytics sends a report when the app crashes. These do not include your name, email or photos.
App integrity. Firebase App Check and Apple's DeviceCheck confirm that requests come from the real app on a real device. They do not identify you.
On your device only. Your liked wallpapers, chosen categories, language, saved stickers and widget settings stay on your iPhone and are removed when you delete the app.
Photos. Aesto asks only for permission to add images to your Photos library. It never reads your existing photos.
Who processes data for the app
| Service | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Functions, Analytics, Crashlytics, App Check) | Anonymous ID, your creations, coins and Community content, analytics, crash reports, app integrity |
| Google Gemini | Drawing AI wallpapers and stickers from your prompt |
| Google AdMob and User Messaging Platform | Ads in the free version and ad consent |
| RevenueCat | Confirming and restoring App Store purchases |
| Apple | App Store purchases, DeviceCheck |
How long data is kept
Your creations, coins, Community content, reports and invite data are kept while your account is in use and deleted when you delete your account. Analytics data is deleted automatically by Firebase after its retention period. You can ask me to delete everything tied to your ID at any time.
Your choices and rights
- Turn off ad tracking in iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Tracking.
- Delete your account and everything tied to it from Profile > Account > Delete Account. If you signed in with Apple, the app's access to your Apple sign-in is revoked too.
- Delete the app to remove everything stored on your device.
- To get a copy of your data or have it deleted, write to contact@doguapps.com from the app (Profile > Contact Support). The email includes your anonymous ID so I can find your data.
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have further rights, such as access, correction, deletion and objection. I honor these requests by email.
Children
Aesto is not directed at children under 13, and I do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version appears on this page with a new effective date. Important changes are also mentioned in the app's release notes.
